The Uke Joint Jumpers were established in a sly grog shop under an old speakeasy in the regional gold mining city of Bendigo, Victoria back in 2012. Cutting their chops at the second Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival in 2013, this eclectic group play their unique ukulele barrelhouse blues, covering the songs of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Louis Jordan. Good enough to get the crowd jumping like bed springs on a honeymoon, get on board the Uke Joint Jumpers Blues Express.
The group is made up of parents, offspring, Aussies, Scots, New Zealanders, singers, potential singers, lovers but mostly friends who have an absolute hoot together.
They belt out the Blues with vigor and excitement and most of all, experience extreme fun.
The group derived its name from the many ‘Juke Joints’, in the southeast USA. http://bit.ly/12o3FtN
